Get in Touch

Monroe County Recent Arrests is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, accept bond, or retrieve an official booking record. For an official answer, contact the office that holds the record.

Where to Direct a Monroe County Records Question

The Sheriff’s Department does not link to a public searchable booking roster. Call the jail for a current county-custody question. Use sheriff records or county FOIA for a booking document, the arresting police department for an incident report, and the Circuit Clerk for a filed court case. These offices hold different records.

Valmeyer Village Hall, 260 Knobloch Boulevard, Valmeyer, Illinois 62295, 618-935-2131; ask the village for its police records route. Each agency handles its own incident records.

For a court case, use the Monroe County Circuit Clerk page, which links to Judici. For warrant-related questions, the State’s Attorney’s office lists 100 South Main Street, Waterloo, and 618-939-8681 extension 215.

Choose the route that fits the question:

  • For a booking record or a photograph that may be released, follow the county records path and make a focused request.
  • For a current custody check or release alerts, use Illinois VINE or call the Monroe County Jail.
  • For a same-day arrest, use Arrested Today; for dated reports, use Arrest Reports.
  • For a court filing or disposition, start with the Circuit Clerk and its Judici link; a court case entry alone does not confirm an active warrant.
  • For Illinois state-prison custody, use the IDOC Individual in Custody Search. Federal and immigration custody use separate BOP and ICE locators.
